Timothy Patrick Carney is a musician who plays Guitar, Piano and Saxophone and has been involved with music professionally for over 40 years. He recently retired from Broward County public school system where he taught predominantly elementary school, but also at the middle and high school level. He graduated from FAU in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in music with his focus on classical guitar and music education. He continues to teach guitar and beginning piano privately and online. After retiring from teaching in the public school system, he recorded his first album, The Tim Carney Project, at the Power Station in FT. Lauderdale. This is available on all major platforms.
He has been playing professionally in many different bands beginning the age of 17 such as 24K, Tight Connection, Past Performance, Sir, Wake the Neighbors, and continues playing with Moondog Creek and The Tim Carney Project. In 1996 I played for a couple of months on the Carnival ship, Celebration, where I met my current music partner Mike O’Quinn.
With the help of his friends Howard Golden and Mike O’Quinn formed the Golden Legacy Record Company and have been recording under this label with his band mates and friends. We recorded the Tim Carney Project album at Power Station along with Mike’s single release of “Cost Of Living”. We also recorded the single “Blood On The Snow” at Debonaire, Studio in Ft. Lauderdale, soon to be released. We recently did work in Georgia at the Park Bench in Atlanta and 570 Piano Bar in Macon and continue to play in Florida and Georgia.
