Mike O’Quinn

Mike O’Quinn hails from rural central Georgia, a geographical melting pot of rich diversity of musical influences. Country, rock, jazz, bluegrass, rhythm and blues, and even time-honored standards crept into his consciousness until he finally started playing and performing while in high school.

Early on, Mike became involved with studio work, recording and/or performing with members of the Allman Brothers Band, Cameo, The Outlaws, The Reddings, Stillwater, The Marshall Tucker Band, Poco, Restless Heart and others.

In Nashville he became involved as a songwriter with CryRock Music, founded by famed producer Jim Gaines (Stevie Ray Vaughn, Santanna, Journey among many others) He also worked with writers for Curb Records.

He penned cuts recorded by blues artist Sandy Carrol and country singer Angela Govan. He also recorded and fronted the country/rock band Cry Wolf which included former members of Shenandoah and Restless Heart. He later became a premier solo performer on Carnival Cruise Lines and the Royal Caribbean Line.

Mike is also becoming involved in film and pop literature having penned the comic Baron Five with art by the legendary Dick Giordano. He also created the upcoming series Dwight Trash.

Mike currently resides in central Georgia, writing and recording, while performing with his band Moondog Creek as well as solo and dueling piano shows throughout the United States — where he thoroughly engages audiences and creates a fun, party atmosphere.
